Occasion Vibration Code of Conduct

We take the safety of our guests seriously, because that’s what allows everyone to experience the sense of freedom we all crave from the dance floor. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct.

Occasion Vibration expects that community members, including staff, will:

  • Be kind, considerate and respectful.

  • Ask for consent first and always.

  • Speak up to staff or intervene if they see unacceptable behavior.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

The following behavior from any community member will not be tolerated and may result in being escorted out of the event or banned from future events:

  • Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person. No weapons.

  • Expressions or acts of racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, violence, hate-speech, misogyny, leering, non-consensual contact, and any behavior you yourself deem harmful or unsafe.

  • Being a creep, including but not limited to constant staring, not taking “no” or obvious body language as a cue to leave someone alone.

  • Being overly intoxicated or driving under the influence.

  • Inappropriate photography or recording, including taking photos on the dance floor (periphery is okay without flash), or posting identifiable photos of people on social media without their consent

This code of conduct was adapted from materials in a workshop hosted by Guardians of the Vibe and Night Service. We will update this at least once a year to reflect expectations to our staff and attendees.
